The Coquetdale Arts Centre is in Rothbury, Northumberland. It was set up in 1975 to promote, display and sell art for the benefit of local people, and also visitors to the area.  It is a registered charity, run by a committee, with the help of a large band of  custodians, who man the Gallery 6 days a week from Easter to Christmas. Without them, it would be impossible to open the Gallery, and grateful thanks are due.

We have a large gallery exhibiting the work of more than 100 local artists. Our studio offers classes throughout the year to all ages and abilities. The gallery  reopened on 1st April, 2010.  From then, until mid December it will be open Tuesday to Saturday 10.30 - 4.00, and Sunday 1.00 - 4.00 as well as all bank holidays.

In addition to the gallery and the studio, we are developing an online gallery that enables our artists to showcase their work.  This year, we have incorporated the Exhibition Room into gallery space, using it only for pictures with local interest.   It is to be known as the Northumbrian Room
