The Coquetdale Arts Centre is in Rothbury, Northumberland. It was set up in 1975 to promote, display and sell art for the benefit of local people, and also visitors to the area. It is a registered charity, run by a committee, with the help of a large band of custodians, who man the Gallery 6 days a week from Easter to Christmas. Without them, it would be impossible to open the Gallery, and grateful thanks are due.
We have a large gallery exhibiting the work of 200 local artists. Our studio offers classes throughout the year to all ages and abilities. The gallery is currently closed for the winter, but will reopen on 1st April, 2010. From then, until mid December it will be open Tuesday to Saturday 10.30 - 4.00, and Sunday 1.00 - 4.00
In addition to the gallery and the studio, we are developing an online gallery that enables our artists to showcase their work. At the moment, we also have an exhibition room, where individual artists can hang their work on a monthly basis. Due to the ever-increasing membership, we may have to look again at how we utilise our exhibition space next year. Watch the news section of the website for updates.
Thank you for visiting the Coquetdale Arts Centre website, if you have any questions or comments, please contact us. We are always adding to our gallery and website, so please come back soon.
